This character requires at least Blender 3.5, and WILL NOT WORK on lower versions!

Whale is a representation of your family, your friends, your inner strength, and perhaps your therapist. In any case, you can count on his whale song to bring you back to life when it hasn't been your day, your week, or even your year.

Notes on how to use the character

  1. Put your 3D cursor in the Origin of your scene. Choose File > Link and browse the character file
  2. Go to the Collections and select CH-whale. Make sure "Instance Collections" is enabled. Press Enter.
  3. The Collection should appear instanced in the Viewport. Select it.
  4. Choose Object > Library Override > Make.

The CH-whale collection is also marked as an asset, so you should be able to copy it into your own personal asset library and make use of the asset browser to import it.

Adjusting shading options

By default the brush strokes are disabled in the Viewport to optimize performance. To enable them, search for the empty object with the name HLP-whale-lighting_rig_target and enable the custom property called Brush Strokes

If you encounter any bugs, please report them here.
